    A few more to recommend.

Out of the silent planet – C. S. Lewis
    Perelandra – C. S. Lewis
    That Hideous Strength – C. S. Lewis
    – These are all in a series by C. S. Lewis, The first one is only for background for the next two. The second one gives a clearer picture of evil than just about anything else I have read. The third dominated my thoughts for months after I read it.

A Door in the Woods – James Dashner
A Gift of Ice – James Dashner
The Tower of Air – James Dashner
War of the Black – James Dashner
Journal of Curious Letters – James Dashner
The Hunt for Dark Infinity – James Dashner
    – James Dashner seems to be a pretty good writer. I enjoyed these two series.

Just about anything by Jerry Pournelle. I have liked a lot of Larry Niven and L. E. Modesitt, Jr.

I would also recommend a couple of self published authors, Brian S. Pratt and Richard S. Tuttle.

I would recommend anything from Dan Wells, who’s first published book will be out on March 30th nationwide called “I am not a Serial Killer”.

And, if you know him, cause he isn’t published yet, read stuff from Andy Eliason, especially his Children of the Weird. His other stuff is good too.
