Moving on
I’ve decided that I’m going to start putting titles on my posts. I’m also going to start calling this site a blog. Everyone else is. So this is a blog and posts are now blog entries. I have a buddy who just landed a pretty sweet job back east at a major OS vendor. At first I was thinking that I wouldn’t be able to make such a bold move and just get up and leave everything behind. Then I got thinking about it and how stupid would it be for me to not make such a bold move. Everyone has to move on sometime. From elementary school to junior and then high school and then college, from single to married, from no kids to one or some, from employed to unemployed or vice versa, from holding on to old habits to calling posts entries, from a good job to a better one, from regular employment to starting a business, from holding on to old memories to making new ones.My son was asking about heroes. I told him you didn’t have to have sports stars and spidermen for heroes. A hero is someone who sets a standard or an example. In fact I don’t have any “famous” heroes. I think my heroes are those who are able to look forward and move on no matter how hard it will be or how comfortable they are. So to my dad, Mike, Grant, Jon, Paul, Jim, Hans, and my wife I have to say thanks. You have been my heroes. And maybe starting to name posts entries and give them a title is not a big deal, that’s ok.
