 Aspen Detail |
I liked the next one so much that I picked two shots off the same roll. Of course I only used one for the assignment but I still think this one is pretty decent. |
 Aspen |
This is one of my favorites. I shot this one standing in a bush that was trying to keep me away from the tree. This was my first attempt at wax paper texturing on the enlarger. |
 Chair in Aspens |
The assignment was to shoot a chair somewhere that it doesn't belong. The chair is from DI. I shot it all over the place, in the Great Salt Lake, in the middle of a busy street, in the mountains, and in the trees. |
 El Taino |
This is actually a stelagmite carved in the traditional art of the Tainos. There are no real Tainos left. The conquistidors made sure of that.I got a few of these in the Tropics a while back. |
 90 |
Our opening assignment for the darkroom class. I kinda don't want to say too much about where I shot this. That would kinda give away too much. I think not knowing exactly what you are looking at makes it a little more interesting. |
 Fireman |
Assignment: Negative Brutalization. I picked one of the shots of the roll that I didn't think was the best. Now I wish I had made a few more enlargements before I destroyed it. And I mean destroyed. It went under (over actually) the lighter after I made this enlargement. |
 Hans on Stairs |
most of that class had to make like 5 attempts at solarization before they started getting good results. I can't explain why, but I couldn't get one to not work. Just luck I guess. |
 Frits Spritz |
Instead of dropping the paper in developer, I sprayed developer on this with a spritzer. Then I threw it in some water for a few seconds and then on to the fixer without a stop bath. |
 Fruit |
We had to shoot a roll to try to get extra grain. Man that's hard. This is still way blown up to bring out the grain. |
 Mining Hill |
Double exposure assignment. I gave up trying to get this just right after using like 15 sheets of paper. |
 Broken Board |
Liquid emulsion on etching paper. Emulsion is brushed on placed in developer and then exposed until it looks right. |
 Treescape |
Assignmemt: Poleroid Transfer. One of my all time favorite technques. In fact, I like it so much that I am planning on buying a daylab when I have the funds for it. |
 Sunflower |
Banned subject in my class but I liked it so much with the texture that I had to throw it in here too. |
